Aaron Ruffin is an associate in the Baton Rouge office of Kean Miller. He joined the firm in 2022 and practices with the casualty and mass tort and energy and environmental litigation groups. Prior to his private practice, Aaron served as a law clerk to the Honorable Dontae L. Bugg of the Fairfax County Circuit Court and also served in the U.S. Air Force Judge Advocate General Corps. Aaron has experience in insurance defense litigation, including general commercial liability defense, wrongful death claims, commercial risk policies, insurance contracts, and environmental coverage.
While in law school, Aaron served as Senior Staff Editor of the American Intellectual Property Law Association Quarterly Journal and President of The George Washington University Black Law Students Association. He was a 2018 NBLSA Thurgood Marshall Mock Trial Competition National Champion. Aaron was also a member of The George Washington University Moot Court Board and served as a research assistant to the GWU Trial Advocacy Department.
Aaron earned his J.D. from The George Washington University Law School in 2019. He earned his B.A. in Economics from Brown University in 2012.
