"Don Ethridge has over 25 years of experience advising and representing energy industry clients in a wide range of transactions and disputes."
Don Ethridge serves as a trusted advisor to energy industry companies and their constituents doing business across Texas and Louisiana. He primarily provides transactional advice and representation on issues related to energy exploration and development, including leases, operating agreements, title examination, and due diligence. Don assists energy companies (including those working in areas other than oil and gas, such as solar companies and carbon capture and storage companies) with easements, leases, servitudes, regulatory issues, title issues, and surface use agreements to accommodate property development and use. He also guides clients in their acquisition and sale of real estate assets, including mineral rights.
In addition, Don serves as counsel to clients involved in complex disputes and litigation, including matters concerning easements, ownership of royalties and production from oil and gas wells, eminent domain, oilfield environmental remediation, and real estate purchase and sale agreements. Having served as a litigator, Don brings a balanced, comprehensive, and practical point of view to anticipating and mitigating contractual liability in his transactional advice to clients.
