"I am invested and dedicated to doing what is best for my client – in and out of court and at every phase of dispute resolution."

Gary Alfred represents business clients in a wide array of civil litigation and commercial dispute resolution matters. His practice involves high-stakes and often complex product liability disputes, business litigation, commercial and residential construction matters, oil and gas issues, large personal injury defense, professional malpractice, and labor and employment law matters.

Gary has investigated and litigated lawsuits involving oilfield and pipeline injuries, plant explosions, and fires resulting in serious personal injuries. He brings extensive litigation acumen to defending clients against workers’ and bystanders’ claims of serious personal injuries from exposure to various hazardous chemicals and products within chemical processing, refining, and other industrial facilities.

Considerate and highly tactical, Gary brings a multi-dimensional perspective to understanding contractual provisions and the fallout that can occur when language is unclear. In the event of a breach, Gary advises clients regarding contracts, choice of venue, and jurisdictional matters for enforcing contracts with international parties. He represents clients in breach of contract actions, breach of fiduciary duty matters, fraud, and Deceptive Trade Practices Act violations.

In state and federal court and before multiple bodies of arbitration, Gary is that trusted advisor and smart advocate valued for his keen instincts, reasonable approach to acrimony and problem-solving, and highly effective litigation strategy. These skills were acquired over many years of practice, where he sharpened his ability to evaluate and understand cases from various points of view and, therefore, create more effective arguments to counter opposition.

Analytical by nature, Gary’s legal acuity is multi-dimensional. He knows how a case will likely unfold and can anticipate problems and develop countermeasures that position his client favorably before the courts and opposing counsel. He is also appreciated for bringing a fresh perspective to identifying facts and/or other client advantages that are not obvious or might be overlooked initially.
