Karen Morgan is senior counsel in the Houston office of Kean Miller. She joined the firm in 2024 and practices in the labor and employment law, casualty litigation, commercial litigation, and energy and environmental litigation groups.
Karen has more than 30 years of civil litigation experience. She practices in state and federal courts representing both plaintiffs and defendants and focuses on employment, unfair competition, and securities litigation. Karen represents clients in discrimination, covenants not to compete, trade secret, FLSA, breach of contract, and wrongful termination cases. She also provides individualized strategic legal advice to financial advisors and broker dealers in the financial services industry, including transition assistance and advice relating to contracts and agreements, and Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) inquiries. Karen’s securities practice includes representing brokerage firms in recruiting actions before FINRA.
Karen earned her J.D. from the Louisiana State University Paul M. Hebert Law Center. She earned her B.A. in English from Indiana University.
