Kean Miller, LLP, a 170-attorney full-service business law firm in Texas and Louisiana, announced the additions of Bob MacIntyre, Cameron McCulloch, and Laurel Smith to its rapidly growing downtown Houston office. This joinder is a combination with highly respected practitioners from the law firm of MacIntyre McCulloch & Stanfield, LLP. With this growth, Kean Miller adds new service offerings designed to assist clients, trust departments, and fiduciaries in matters related to the administration and litigation of probate, trust, and guardianships.
Generational wealth and familial legacies are deeply rooted in the Greater Houston area, with many of America’s strongest and best-known families hailing from the region. At times, disputes arise concerning trusts, wills, gifts, and the guardianship of estates. This new group of attorneys are fully focused on providing innovative and strong counsel in what can be highly emotionally charged matters. If a situation dictates, the lawyers are prepared to litigate on behalf of their clients.
Successful probate and guardianship litigators embody a balance of legal acumen coupled with empathy and, when needed, trial advocacy. MacIntyre, McCulloch, and Smith have demonstrated these abilities for many years.
Bob MacIntyre, joining the firm as a partner, has been practicing law for more than 45 years. A native Texas and a graduate of the University of Houston Law Center, Bob has cemented himself as a cornerstone of the Houston legal community for decades. Cameron McCulloch joins Kean Miller as a partner. He brings over 25 of experience in counseling and representing individual and corporate fiduciaries in highly contested matters which include accounting and administration issues, as well as the prosecution and defense of fiduciary claims. Cameron is a frequent lecturer on sophisticated probate matters, having spoken at more than 30 conferences. Like Bob, Cameron is a Fellow of the American College of Trusts and Estate Counsel and was the previous Chairman of the Probate, Trusts, and Estate Section of the Houston Bar Association. A Houstonian, Cameron is a graduate of the South Texas College of Law.
Laurel Smith joins the firm as an associate, practicing with Bob and Cameron. A member of the Houston Young Lawyers Association, Laurel is quickly becoming well-known amongst up-and-coming probate and estate planning lawyers in Houston and The Woodlands, where Kean Miller maintains a second Texas office.
