Patrick Betts is an associate in the Baton Rouge office of Kean Miller. He joined the firm in 2023 and practices with the intellectual property, commercial litigation, construction, labor and employment, insurance, and casualty and mass tort litigation groups.
While in law school, Patrick served as Junior Graduate Editor of the Journal of Civil Law Studies. He was a Quarterfinalist in the Edward Bryan Jr. National Transactional Competition at University of Loyola Chicago Law School and participated in the Robert Lee Tullis Moot Court Competition. Patrick served as an Academic Tutor to Professor Alain Levasseur for Legal Traditions & Systems and as a Research Assistant to Dean Lee Ann Lockridge and Professor Alain Levasseur.
Patrick earned his J.D./D.C.L., cum laude, from the Louisiana State University Paul M. Hebert Law Center in 2023. He earned his B.S. in Biological Sciences and Minor in Business Administration from Louisiana State University in 2017.
