Business Process Analyst – Baton Rouge

Kean Miller is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Business Process Analyst to work in our Baton Rouge office. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing and improving business processes across various departments within the organization. You will work closely with the Firm’s Technology and Finance Departments to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for optimization, and develop strategies to streamline processes and enhance overall operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct comprehensive analysis of current business processes, including mapping workflows, identifying pain points, and evaluating performance metrics.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, document processes, analyze reporting needs, and identify opportunities for improvement through automation and process improvement.
• Develop and implement process improvement initiatives, leveraging industry best practices and leveraging data-driven decision-making.
• Collaborate with leadership team to design and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) and process maps to ensure consistent execution and compliance.
• Conduct training sessions and provide guidance to end-users on new or updated processes.
• Monitor and analyze process performance metrics, identifying areas for continuous improvement.
• Serve as a subject matter expert and provide guidance on process optimization and automation strategies.
• Assess existing technology solutions and recommend solutions improvements, such as an upgrade or change of technology, user process improvement, or additional functionality.
• Leverage low and no-code technologies, such as Microsoft Power Platform and Power BI, to implement process automations and reporting dashboards to improve team and firm efficiencies.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Computer Science, Business Intelligence, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in business process analysis or process improvement roles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficient in process mapping tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart, Miro, etc.).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Highly proficient in Transact-SQL query language.
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, charts, and pivot tables.
• Proficient in reporting tools, such as Power BI, Tableau, or SQL Server Reporting Services.
• Proficient in Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI) for delivering low/no code automation and reporting solutions.
• Knowledge of process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, Agile, Scrum) and process management tools (Kanban, Azure DevOps, Microsoft Planner, Microsoft Project, etc.) is a plus.
• Ability to adapt to changing business needs and prioritize tasks effectively.
