Gordon Polozola Rejoins Kean Miller Utility Regulatory Team
Kean Miller is pleased to announce that utility regulatory attorney Gordon D. Polozola has rejoined the firm as partner in its Baton Rouge office. Polozola has more than 25 years of experience with complex and straightforward electric power, energy, telecommunication, water and sewer, pipeline regulation, and trucking/transportation regulations matters. He represents local, regional, national and global utilities, industrial consumers of electric power, and other companies in contract negotiations, and in regulatory proceedings before the Louisiana Public Service Commission, Florida Public Service Commission, Tennessee Regulatory Authority, Mississippi Public Service Commission, Federal Communications Commission and Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. He also has extensive knowledge of federal regulations and decisions relating to the development and operation of power projects and the obtaining of qualifying facility status and has earned the designation as a Certified Cogeneration Professional and Distributed Generation Certified Professional from the Association of Energy Engineers.

Prior to rejoining Kean Miller, Gordon served as Vice President and Regional General Counsel for a major independent power producer in the Southeast, and as Executive Vice President and General Counsel to a private equity infrastructure firm in Houston, Texas.
A native of Baton Rouge, Gordon received his J.D. from the LSU Law Center in 1995, where he served as Senior Editor of the Louisiana Law Review, was a member of the Order of the Coif and a member of the LSU Law Center Hall of Fame. He earned his B.S. from Louisiana State University in 1992.
