Jason Cashio is a partner in the Baton Rouge office of Kean Miller. He litigates in state and federal courts in multiple states across the country, including his home State of Louisiana, representing local and national corporate clients, as well as individuals in a variety of litigation matters, including complex, multi-party disputes. Jason also serves as National Counsel and North American Counsel for a top Fortune 500 company, obtaining various admissions to the bar in multiple states on a “pro hac vice” basis. Jason focuses his practice on issues involving product liability, professional liability, medical malpractice, and general and business litigation. He also advises clients in the health care area and is involved in providing general legal advice to health care providers as well as defending health care providers in medical malpractice claims. Jason also advises clients on electronic discovery, e-discovery compliance, electronically stored information (ESI), electronic information management, and retention and destructive policies and procedures. After law school, Jason served as a law clerk to the Honorable Frank J. Polozola of the United States District Court for the Middle District of Louisiana in 1998.

In his personal time, Jason is a Marathon runner. He is currently working toward a goal of running a Marathon on all seven continents, having already completed a Marathon or Half Marathon in all 50 U.S. states, including a 50-mile Ultramarathon in 2022. He is continuing his goal of competing in the six World Marathon Majors, having previously run World Marathon Majors in Berlin in September 2023, London in 2022, and Chicago in 2023 and 2019.

  • Representation of national pharmacy corporation for premises liability and claims related to pharmacy operations.
  • Representation of physicians for Medical Review Panel proceedings and related litigation, including claims involving the following medical specialties: Obstetrics; Gynecology; General Surgery; Pediatric Surgery; Plastic Surgery; Pediatrics; Family Practice; Internal Medicine; Gastroenterology; Pulmonology; Rheumatology; Orthopedics; Anesthesiology; Neurology; Psychiatry and Radiology.
