Katie Lumpkin focuses her practice on casualty and mass tort litigation matters. She also has experience in health care, tax, and insurance litigation.

Katie has experience representing health care institutions in liability litigation and Texas Board of Nursing matters. She provides legal guidance on compliance, risk management, and regulatory matters, including HIPPA, Medicare, and Medicaid requirements. Katie is familiar with analyzing medical data and literature and collaborating with medical experts and consultants to develop sound legal arguments. She also has experience independently managing a health care litigation trial docket and motions practice, as well as conducting and defending depositions of parties and experts.

Katie previously collaborated with claims adjusters, investigators, and experts to evaluate claims and develop defense strategies. She has experience managing the third-party discovery process, directing E-Discovery investigations, creating damage models in preparation for mediations, preparing pre-trial discovery, and drafting and compiling motions for summary judgment.

Katie has also drafted legal reports for IRS compliance and collaborated with department directors, business owners, and other stakeholders to complete research and develop tax credit studies.

While in law school, Katie served as an intern for the Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County and BNSF Railway.
