Kean Miller Adds Litigation Talent in Baton Rouge

Kean Miller’s exciting growth trajectory continues as the 221-attorney, full-service law firm announces the addition of two attorneys to its office in downtown Baton Rouge. Blake A. Altazan joins as special counsel and Taylor Dunne joins as an attorney. These additions strengthen the firm’s commercial litigation, intellectual property, insurance, environmental regulatory, and casualty and mass tort practices in the Greater Baton Rouge area and across the Gulf South region.

Blake focuses his practice on casualty and mass tort, insurance, and commercial litigation matters. His experience includes construction disputes, insurance coverage disputes, trucking and transportation claims, and commercial litigation. He also has experience in contract and service agreement review and drafting. Blake had handled the defense of claims against political subdivisions and public bodies, including school boards throughout the state of Louisiana. Blake earned his J.D. from the Mississippi College School of Law in 2008 and his B.S. in Business Administration from LSU in 2005.

Taylor focuses her practice on intellectual property and environmental regulatory matters. She also has experience in energy utility matters, administrative law, and utilities regulation. As a registered Patent Attorney licensed to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, Taylor has filed provisional and non-provisional patent applications. She has also drafted and negotiated licensing agreements and assignments for trade secrets, patents, trademarks, and other intellectual property matters. She also assists clients in intellectual property protection, transactions, and litigation matters. Taylor earned her J.D., cum laude, from the Tulane University Law School in 2020 and her B.S. in Chemistry from LSU in 2017.
