Kean Miller Adds Probate and Casualty Litigation Talent in Houston

Kean Miller’s exciting growth trajectory continues as the 222-attorney, full-service law firm announces the addition of three attorneys to its office in Houston. Scott Seidl joins as special counsel and Kaitlyn S. Lumpkin and Sarah Nevarez join as associates. These additions strengthen the firm’s probate, casualty, and mass tort litigation practices in the Greater Houston area and across the Gulf South region.

Scott focuses his practice on probate, trust, and guardianship litigation matters. He also has real estate, oil, gas, and energy experience. Scott primarily handles litigation but has experience in transactional matters in all these areas. He has represented clients in both state and federal courts for more than a decade. Scott earned his J.D. from the University of Oklahoma College of Law in 2008 and his B.A. in Sociology and Criminology from University of Oklahoma in 2005.

Katie focuses her practice on casualty and mass tort litigation matters. She also has experience in health care, tax, and insurance litigation. Katie has experience representing health care institutions in liability litigation and Texas Board of Nursing matters. Katie earned her J.D. from the Wake Forest University School of Law in 2020 and her B.A. in Political Science and Economics from Trinity University in 2017.

Sarah focuses her practice on casualty and mass tort litigation matters. She has experience with corporate governance matters, trademark applications, and drafting operating agreements. Sarah earned her J.D., with a concentration in Sustainable Energy and Resources Law and receiving highest honors, from the University of Tulsa College of Law in 2024 and her B.S.W., summa cum laude, from Oral Roberts University in 2021.
