Madie Simpson is an associate in the Baton Rouge office of Kean Miller. She joined the firm in 2024 and practices with the labor and employment, insurance, construction, intellectual property, and commercial litigation groups. Prior to joining the firm, Madie served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Pamela J. Baker of the 19th Judicial District Family Court of Baton Rouge.

While in law school, Madie received the CALI Award for the highest grade in Legal Research & Writing, Sports Law, and Immigration Law. She graduated magna cum laude and was inducted into the Order of the Coif for the Class of 2024. Madie completed the Jean Moulin University Lyon III Study Abroad Program in France.

EDUCATION

Madie earned her J.D./D.C.L., magna cum laude, from the Louisiana State University Paul M. Hebert Law Center in 2024. She earned her B.A., summa cum laude, in Political Science and Sociology and Minor in Spanish from Louisiana State University in 2021. While in undergraduate school, she was a Student Worker in the Political Science Department from Fall 2019-Spring 2021, a Research Assistant to Professor Dmitriy Nurullayev in the Political Science Department from Spring 2019-Fall 2019, and a Student Worker in Student Advocacy & Accountability from Fall 2018-Spring 2019.
