Staff Attorney (REDUCED HOUR) OR Partnership Track Estate Planning Attorney – Houston

Kean Miller is seeking an experienced Estate Planning Attorney in our Houston office.

Key Responsibilities
• Meet with clients to understand their estate planning needs and provide strategic advice on trust options, estate planning strategies and asset protection. 
• Draft, review, and implement wills, trusts (revocable and irrevocable), powers of attorney, healthcare directives, and other estate planning documents to align with clients’ needs. 
• Provide clients with strategic advice regarding estate and tax planning.
• Assist with the administration of estates, including probate proceedings and trust administration.
• Advise clients on gift and estate tax planning, including potential implications and opportunities.
• Collaborate with clients, accountants, financial planners, and other professionals to create comprehensive estate plans.
• Conduct legal research on evolving laws related to estate planning, taxation, and probate.
• Assist in the creation and implementation of asset protection strategies.
• Maintain strong, ongoing relationships with clients, ensuring their estate plans remain up to date.

Qualification
• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school with top grades
• Licensed member of Texas State Bar
• 5+ years of experience in estate planning, trust administration, or related practice areas.
• Strong knowledge of probate administration and estate planning procedures
• Strong background drafting trusts and estate planning instruments. 
• In-depth knowledge of estate planning laws, tax regulations, and probate processes.
• Ability to manage complex matters independently
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Empathetic, professional, client-focused approach
