MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 Trippe was awarded the 2007 Edward D. Grant Volunteerism Award by the YMCA of the Capital Region on May 7, 2008. He is heavily involved is the YMCA of the Capital Region and served as Chairman of the Strong Kids Campaign for the A.C. Lewis Branch of the YMCA and Co-Chaired the Program Committee. An avid runner, Trippe spearheaded the development of Rouge Runners, a series of short road and track races to encourage children of all ages to become more active. He currently serves as the President of the Board of Advisors for the A.C. Lewis YMCA. He has also contributed to the Baton Rouge community through his work to provide ministry and human services to the homeless through the YMCA and his church. He is a member of the National Leadership Board of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes sports specific ministry, FCA-Endurance. Trippe also serves as a reading friend at Highland Elementary and has served as a deacon at University Baptist Church. He sings in the University Baptist Church Sanctuary Choir, Grace Rising Ensemble, and Men's Celebration Quartet.
