Zach Mathis
AttorneyZach Mathis focuses his practice on civil litigation, with experience including breach of contract, negligence and gross negligence, fraudulent inducement, and breach of fiduciary duties. He also handles matters in a wide range of cases pertaining to such topics as landlord-tenant disputes, trespass to chattel, homeowners’ associations, DTPA actions, and foreclosure.
Zach has performed extensive research for numerous attorney ad litem tax proceedings, including researching family history, deed records for properties, and the location of potential heirs. He discovered more than 100 heirs in an attorney ad litem case with deeds dating back to the 1900s.
During law school, Zach served as a law clerk for the Legal Aid of Northwest Texas.
- Served as second chair in jury trial in County Court for a case involving claims of negligence and gross negligence.
- Drafted motion for summary judgment in lien foreclosure case, which was granted.
- Led or served as second chair in five trials, with judgments in client’s favor in each.
Zach earned his J.D., magna cum laude, from the Texas Tech University School of Law in 2023. While in law school, he received the Top Grade Award in Commercial Law, International Business Transactions, and Statutory Interpretation. Zach was also a member of the Asian-Pacific American Law Student Association and Christian Legal Society.
Zach earned his B.S. in International Economics and Minor in Chinese from Texas Tech University in 2020.
